At Little Lions Therapy, we understand that navigating funding options can feel overwhelming. Our team is happy to guide families through available Medicare pathways and help determine what may be appropriate for your child.

Medicare Funding Options

Families may be eligible for support through:

• M10 In-Person / M18 Telehealth – Item 135 (Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders)

• Chronic Care Management Plan (CCMP)

Only one Medicare rebate can be claimed per therapy session.

M10/M18 (Item 135) Pathway

This pathway may be suitable for children and young people:

• Under 25 years of age

• With a suspected or diagnosed developmental delay, disability, or neurodevelopmental difference

• Referred by an eligible medical practitioner such as a GP, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist

Eligible conditions may include:

• Communication and language development

• Speech clarity and speech sounds

• Social communication

• Stuttering

• Emotional regulation

• Sensory processing

• Functional skill developmet

Assessment & Therapy Support

Assessment Phase

Eligible children may access up to 8 Medicare-rebated allied health assessment sessions across a lifetime to better understand their strengths, needs and recommended supports.

Therapy Phase

20 Medicare-rebated therapy sessions may be available to support progress toward meaningful goals. These are accessed through GP referral in blocks (typically 10 sessions) across a lifetime.

Funding limits apply under Medicare guidelines.

Chronic Care Management Plan (CCMP)

A Chronic Care Management Plan may be suitable for children with ongoing health or developmental needs.

This pathway typically includes:

• Up to 5 rebated allied health sessions each calendar year

• Referral through your GP

• Support for conditions expected to continue for 6 months or longer

NDIS Funding

We welcome participants who are plan-managed or self-managed. Please provide your NDIS plan details when booking so we can set up your funding before your first appointment.
