Our Vision

As our name implies, your child may be little now, but we believe they have the potential to be bold and courageous!

Our Values

Excellence

We strongly believe that therapy should be evidence-based and delivered to a high standard. We value staying up to date with the latest research, whilst engaging in regular professional development to ensure excellence within therapy sessions.

Individuality

We embrace each child’s individuality and personality and recognise that no child is the same. Therefore, we aim to adapt our therapy approach to maximise client progress.

Transparency

We believe that parents should know and understand all therapy goals and feel that they are a part of the process. We are committed to taking time to explain and clarify goals with parents so that they leave feeling confident to carry out practice at home.

Positivity

We aim to make therapy fun, creative and enjoyable for both the child and the parent. We strongly believe that a positive environment is critical to therapy outcomes and we endeavour to create this in every session.

Our Why

We exist because we are passionate about empowering kids and equipping parents.

For Kids

Empowering Kids to communicate effectively and reach their full potential, through quality, evidence-based therapy.

For Parents

Equipping Parents with the tools and strategies they need to confidently support their child’s development.

 Our Services

Little Lions provides services for children who present with a range of developmental difficulties.

Speech

This refers to the way your child pronounces sounds in words (e.g. instead of saying ‘cat’ they say ‘tat’).

Expressive Language

This refers to the words your child is using and the way they are combining them to form sentences and discourse. Language is important for them to be able to express needs.

Receptive Language

This relates to how well your child understands things such as their ability to follow instructions, answer questions and solve problems.

Social Skills

This relates to how well your child is able to use language to interact with others (e.g. greetings, making friends, engaging in conversation, resolving conflict).

Literacy

This relates to your child’s ability to read, write and spell. It also covers your child’s ability to understand what they have written or read.

Stuttering

This relates to the disruption of the rhythm or flow of speech. It may be that your child continually repeats the same sounds or words (e.g. b-b-b-ball), prolongs sounds or words (e.g. I waaaaaaaant the ball), or struggles completely to get the word out resulting in silence or irregular breathing.
