Early detection of hearing loss is critical to ensure healthy speech, language, cognitive and social development. Paediatric audiologists use age-appropriate techniques, equipment, and environments to assess hearing in even the youngest patients.

  • Child-Friendly, Age-Specific Testing
    Testing methods vary by age and developmental level:

    • Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) for toddlers (7 months – 3 ½ years)

    • Conditioned Play Audiometry (CPA) for preschoolers (3-4 years)

    • Standard Audiometry for school-aged children (5+ years)

    • Middle Ear Testing (Tympanometry) to assess for common childhood conditions like glue ear and ear infections
